From the Mound to the Gridiron

The talk around baseball, "is Bonds coming back"? I don't think he'll be a Giant, like that former running back. So they'll be cutting him in 08 like a barber. I think he should just retire like Barber. He already broke the record; time to call it quits. But I guess unlike Tiki, he wants to get hits. Mr. 3000/Homerun King, the only thing missing is that championship ring. His best bet is to play for the Yanks or play for the A's. Because they're both willing to give up big chips like Lays. Well enough about Barry, let's talk some football. Does anybody know the difference between a bad and a good call.? Todd Heap clearly had a touchdown. But the referee kept both hands down. The Ravens bounced back in week 2 nonetheless. With a victory over the J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS. The Bengals put up 45 points and lost in Cleveland. Only one question, where was the defense? Peyton Manning and the Colts won the clash of the Titans. Once again Devin Hester proved he's as fast as lightning. The 49ers bearly got passed the Rams. Man, there's nothing like Steelers fans. I bet Joey Harrington wished Vick was back. The Jags nicknamed him "potato" cause' he kept getting sacked. Romo and the Cowboys ate the Dolphins for lunch. Once again Brady and Moss were a 1-2 punch. Eli Manning and the Giants got "packed" like luggage. While the Bucs defeated the Saints with the nickel coverage. The Raiders almost had it but they called a timeout. Maybe they'll have better luck next time out. The Lions beat Minnesota so now they're 2-0. While in Carolina, Delhomme and Smith ran the give and go. But it was a little to late, and the Texans won. Between the Eagles and 'Skins, 'Skins got the best of em. Lastly, the Cardinals edged out the Seahawks in a close one. And that ends this week's Poetry in Motion.
